Mechanical surface treatment

of steel and aluminium

Process description

We treat the surface of aluminum and steel using three methods, depending on the result. We offer a brushing method, glass bead blasting and mechanical polishing.

Result

Mechanical treatment is used to cover material defects (even quite deep scratches and scores) left after production processes, and to obtain an interesting finish with high aesthetic values. We use different methods of mechanical treatment.

Brushing method (E2)

We perform surface brushing in various variants (Med., Hard, P120 and P80). We process flat elements and pipes using this method.
Maximum brushing width on a flat surface: 170 mm.
Maximum brushing diameter for pipes: 180 mm.

Glass bead blasting (S1)

To achieve matt appearance of finished surfaces, we offer the perfect solution that consists in pressurised shotblasting of surfaces with use of glass balls (SZK. 200 and KOR).
Dimensions of the shotblasting chamber: 800x870x640 mm

Mechanical polishing (POL)

To achieve shining surfaces, in particular before electrochemical polishing, we suggest preliminary polishing (POL).

Cutting aluminum profiles

Maximum cross-section 140×100 mm
Cutting at the angle of 90°
Minimum length of sections: 50 mm

ORDER PLACEMENT AND RETURNS

To place an order, please complete the following documents and send them via e-mail to handlowy@anodal.pl or bring it personally to Anodal’s office. The office is open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our consultants will help in case of problems with completing the order.

Please prepare:

• Technical drawings (PDF) (for sections bars – cross-sections with information about the length)
• Service order according to the order form with the information on designation of surfaces to be treated
• Other information that may be important, such as.: material, expectation with regard to the abradant, depth of scratches etc.
• Samples
• Perimeter length for section bars

 

Note! Components handed over to ANODAL must by right after manufacturing, with no preliminary treatment.

If components are to be sent by regular mail or courier:
• Send a copy of the order via e-mail to the address handlowy@anodal.pl
• Attach all necessary technical drawings of the components to the e-mail
• Place the legible name of your company in a well-visible place on the packing

While sending back the ready products:
• Small packages are sent back by courier service at the expense of ANODAL, otherwise the postage expenses are added to the invoice,
• Please check the integrity and content of the package in witness of the courier, in case of damage make up a relevant report,
• The Stock Issue Confirmation Note (WZ), along with the VAT invoice, are attached to the package and placed in the plastic pocket along with the Bill of Lading (B/L),
• Should the invoice be sent to an address different from the destination address of the package, please provide such information in the Service Order
